The Station Alert SA801 Controller is designed to be connected directly to a Unication G2-G5 Series Amplified Charger (Alert Time Programmable in Pager Software) or Motorola Minitor Amplified Charger (10 Second Set Activation or Until Reset Option) . The SA801 has user accessible 12VDC Alert Outputs which allow notification devices to be attached directly to the rear of the controller. The Outputs can be used with devices such as our available LEDs, Beacons, Bells, Klaxons and Bed Shakers. The included LED on the front of the controller comes in several versions and colors.
The SA801 is a pager-connected alert controller that offers standard screw terminal connections for one of the outputs and a standard 5.5mm x 2.5mm DC barrel power jack for the second output. The screw terminal connection makes it easy to connect notification devices without the need for proprietary connectors.
Inside the controller on the PCB you will find a 6 Screw Terminal Strip that allows connections for the included LED attached to the front of the housing, an additional set of terminals for accessories you may like to add as well as a button activated ground and button activated 12VDC+ for changing colors or flash patterns of connected accessories as needed.
The user selects minimal settings inside this controller. This controller is designed for Unication G2, G3, G4 & G5 pagers specifically as its design relies on the user programming the activation lengths for different tone or talk group activations in the pagers relay setting.
Operating Modes
Standard Operating Mode: activates any attached notification device and front LED for however long the amplified chargers accessory port relay stays in the active position. On Motorola Amplified Chargers and Unication G1 Amplified Chargers this would be 10 Seconds and this time can not be shortened.
On Until Reset Mode: This mode works with Minitor and Unication G1 Amplified Chargers. When the "Motorola" switch inside the controller is in the on position the SA801 will remain in an alert mode state and all connected devices will remain powered on until the reset button is pressed on the front of the Pager's Amplified Charger.
